Colts Look To Showcase Team's History With Downtown HOF

The Colts are looking to "bring a Colts Hall of Fame to downtown Indianapolis," according to Dana Hunsinger Benbow of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR. The Colts recently gave VP/Ticket Operations & Guest Services Larry Hall a "new title and job" -- VP/Historical Affairs & Special Projects -- and the HOF is his "one mission." Hall said, "It makes sense to have a Colts Hall of Fame museum, which we think would be great for Colts fans but also great for the city. That is my ultimate goal." Benbow wrote the Colts "aren't alone in seeing the need for a person focused on team history." The Bears, Dolphins, Bills and other NFL teams have "similar positions." Colts COO Pete Ward said, "This franchise has a rich history, but we have never before had anyone dedicated completely to preserving, organizing and archiving the various elements of that history. Larry's passion for and experience with the Colts makes him the perfect fit." Hall said that an opening date "isn't imminent." He also wants the museum to be "downtown in a prominent spot" (INDYSTAR.com, 1/4).
