Nash Rambler: P.K. Subban To Star In New NBC Online Show

Predators D P.K. Subban will appear later this month in a "reality documentary" for NBCSports.com that will "offer a behind-the-scenes look at Subban's life and will cover a variety of topics," according to Paul Skrbina of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. The show, titled "The PK Project," airs Jan. 26. Subban has "done some filming for the show recently, and more is still to be done" (TENNESSEAN.com, 1/1). YAHOO SPORTS' Stan Temming noted the show's goal is to "pull the curtain back" on Subban's life as an "elite athlete while focusing on things he enjoys most: hockey, fashion, and food." A sneak peak released yesterday showed viewers "should expect many laughs and plenty of large hats," which "sounds like a combination with some serious potential" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/1). Subban said this is the "first time an active player has been able to do this type of deal with NBC Sports Group." He added, "I’m excited for the opportunity with my new production company and working with Andrew Glassman and his production company.” He said the show, which will air following the SAP NHL All-Star Skills Competition, is "going to show a lot of what I do here in Nashville." Subban: "It’s going to highlight different guests, hockey players, entertainers, and so on and so forth" (“Bruins-Blackhawks,” NBC, 1/1).
