Purdue Raising Ticket Prices In '19 After Seeing On-Field Success

Purdue football fans "will see a slight increase" in ticket prices for '19 when they go on sale Jan. 22, according to Mike Carmin of the Lafayette JOURNAL & COURIER. After the '17 season, the athletic department "reduced prices" in nearly 30% of Ross-Ade Stadium, and the remainder of the seats "didn’t include a price increase." A bump "was expected." Eight price categories are available, "including two new ones on the west side of the stadium, ranging from $494 to $105." Legacy fees are "required for four of the categories." Season tickets in the new west midfield section along with the prime section are $294 and "include a legacy fee of $200 (midfield section) and $175 (prime)." Tickets in the prime section "were $280 last season." Purdue was the "only school to see its average attendance increase by 3,000 fans" from both '16 and '17. Ross-Ade Stadium was "sold out twice" in '18 for the first time since '07. The average home attendance of 51,120 "was the program's highest" since '08 (Lafayette JOURNAL & COURIER, 12/28).
