In S.F., Ron Leuty noted free agent LF Hunter Pence is "pitching Gone Rogue, snacks that are rolling out in the Bay Area and nationwide." The high-protein food -- "kind of like jerky in crunchy chip form" -- marks Illinois-based Land O'Frost's "first foray into that space." Although Pence "won't be a Giant" in '19, his "active, healthy lifestyle and eccentricities connected with Giants fans, which makes him attractive to companies trying to introduce health-conscious products in the Bay Area and nationwide" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/3).

LOCAL FLAVOR: In Chicago, Madeline Kenney notes the Bulls are "re-launching their 'Chicago artist hat series' this week after it was a hit last season." The collection features "six special-edition Bulls hats that were designed by local designers and illustrators." For the promotion, the Bulls -- in partnership with BMO Harris -- asked each artist to "blend the team’s logo with their distinctive creative style." The hats will be "distributed as six separate promotions throughout this season" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 12/5). 

LA LA LAND: The Lakers will be renewing their sponsorship agreement with L.A.-based MIR Audio Video. The company will remain the presenting sponsor of the annual Lakers Celebrity Golf Invitational & Dinner for the fifth consecutive year (Lakers).
