The Nashville MLS expansion club has hired WILL ALEXANDER as its CRO. Alexander, who currently is a Managing Dir of Business Development at private equity firm Hall Capital, was a co-Founder of the MLS2Nashville committee that launched in ’16 to try to get the city an expansion club and has been involved in its bid process since. Alexander will begin his role Saturday and will report to Nashville MLS CEO IAN AYRE. Nashville is expected to join MLS in ’20 (Ian Thomas, THE DAILY). 

EXECS: The USA Gymnastics BOD elected former USGA Chief Legal Officer KATHRYN CARSON as Chair. She replaces KAREN GOLZ, who "stepped down after taking over as chair of a newly appointed board in June" (AP, 11/29)....The XFL named TuneIn VP/Marketing & Communications SCOTT PARKER Senior VP/Marketing & Communications. Before joining TuneIn, Parker worked at ESPN as VP/Consumer Marketing (XFL)....The Islanders named Penguins COO TRAVIS WILLIAMS President of Business Operations (Islanders)....LAFC named Premier Partnerships Senior Dir of Corporate Partnerships TERRY TSOURATAKIS Dir of Corporate Partnerships (THE DAILY)....The Mets named Brewers Manager of Media Relations ZACH WEBER to the same position (TWITTER.com, 11/28)....Connecticut-based search firm RSR Partners named Nimbus Sports Partners Founder & Chief Development Officer DREW CLOUD Principal. Cloud has previously worked for BSE Global, the Pirates and the NBA (RSR Partners).
