Buyers & Sellers: Red Sox Owner Henry Selling Fla. Mansion For $25M

Red Sox Owner JOHN HENRY is selling his home in Boca Raton for $25M. The lakefront estate was "custom built to be his family's primary home." The main home is 27,832 square feet and has "seven bedrooms and 19 bathrooms." Inspired by Henry's "love of Japanese design, it has clean lines and temple-inspired architecture." The main living areas are "largely open plan" and there is an "octagon-shaped sunroom with huge glass windows." Amenities include a "recording studio, an outdoor dining area with a wood-burning pizza oven, a movie theater with a full concession stand and an underground wine cellar that can display up to 1,000 bottles." In Henry's memorabilia room there is a "sports bar, a professional card table and a large seating area for watching games" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 11/29). 

ON THE MARKET: The Beverly Hills residence of late NBA agent DAN FEGAN is on the market for $14.5M. The 4,600-square-foot home sits on about three-quarters of an acre on a "cul-de-sac with canyon, city and ocean views." The home has been "updated and features a marble-lined foyer that opens to the living room with a fireplace." There are "wood-paneled walls in the den, and the center-island kitchen has poured concrete countertops." The home has "four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms." Fegan, who died in February, bought the property more than a decade ago for about $2.585M (LATIMES.com, 11/20). 

HOOP HOMES: Lakers C TYSON CHANDLER sold his home in Hidden Hills, Calif., for a little over $6.88M to former MLBer RANDY WOLF. The 12,000-square-foot home has "six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms including a multi-room master suite." More than an acre of grounds "hold a custom swimming pool and spa, a separate gym, horse facilities and a barn" (LATIMES.com, 11/28)....Thunder F PAUL GEORGE has placed his home in Indianapolis on the market for $2.1M -- $50,000 more than what he paid for the property five years ago. The 12,605-square-foot interior "opens in dramatic fashion to a two-story foyer with porcelain tile floors and a sweeping staircase." The main floor "holds a custom kitchen, a dining area under mirrored ceilings and a family room with fireplace" (LATIMES.com, 11/28)....Heat G TYLER JOHNSON sold his mansion in Pinecrest, Fla., for $4.35M. The two-story house "opens through an arched front door" to 9,476 square feet of living space. Custom-coffered ceilings -- each different in style -- "hang over the living room, center-island kitchen, formal dining room, breakfast nook and movie theater" (LATIMES.com, 11/23)....Heat F KELLY OLYNYK is selling his home in Boston for $1.599M. The 2,522-square-foot home has "three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms." There is a "formal dining room and an updated kitchen with a center island" (LATIMES.com, 11/23). 

FOOTBALL FLATS: Former NFLer MICHAEL VICK sold his home in Davie, Fla., for $1.399M. The 6,295-square-foot home features "six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a chef's kitchen with walk-in pantry and two Sub-Zero refrigerators, a master bedroom with sitting area and coffee bar, and a home theater" (SUN-SENTINEL.com, 11/19)....Packers WR RANDALL COBB purchased a home in the Tarzana neighborhood of L.A. for $4.76M. The 7,000-square-foot home features a "gym, a billiards room, a wine cellar, a swimming pool with a spa and full-sized basketball court." On the main level, there is an "indoor-outdoor living room with a fireplace, a double-island kitchen with a tile backsplash and a pair of chandelier-topped dining areas" (LATIMES.com, 11/19).

BUYERS & SELLERS: ALEX RODRIGUEZ is listing his home in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of L.A. for $6.5M. The house has a "two-story living room with a block-wall fireplace that runs from floor to ceiling." The floor plan includes a "chef's kitchen, a dining room and a family room on the main floor." The master suite -- one of four bedrooms and four bathrooms -- "floats above the living room area" (LATIMES.com, 11/17)....Former Orioles manager BUCK SHOWALTER is listing his home in Lutherville, Md., for $1.495M. The 5,579-square-foot Colonial home features "five bedrooms -- including a first-floor master suite -- four full bathrooms and one half bath." The home includes two kitchens, a two-car garage and a "second garage with space for two cars" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/14)....Tigers P MATT MOORE is selling his home in St. Petersburg for $2.2M. The former Rays player purchased the home in '14 for $1.24M. The 3,895-square-foot home features "wide-plank hardwood floors in the two-story living room, game room, dining room and tile-splashed kitchen." The master suite, "one of four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, sits on the first floor and boasts a freestanding tub" (LATIMES.com, 11/17).
