Brewers Take Over Operation Of Team Stores From Delaware North

Brewers officials hope the decision to run team stores results in cheaper prices for fansBREWERS

Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger said that the team has "taken over operation of the Team Stores at Miller Park, a move that will lead to lower prices and better selection," according to James Nelson of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The Brewers "assumed operation of the three stores from Delaware North," which will "continue to oversee the Miller Park food and beverage operation." Schlesinger said that fans "won't immediately notice major changes in the store offerings," but they are coming in time for the '19 season. Prices already have been "cut on some items." Schlesinger added that the Brewers will be able to be "more nimble with products and take some chances that weren't possible with Delaware North." Nelson notes the timing of the takeover was "not tied to the team's surprising success" on the field in '18 (JSONLINE.com, 11/28).
