Ohio State Football Ticket Prices Could Rise With New Proposal

Student ticket prices would remain at $34 per game or $238 for the seasonGETTY IMAGES

Ohio State fans may have to "pay more to attend football games next year under a proposed ticket-price increase" that will go before school trustees this week, according to Jennifer Smola of the COLUMBUS DISPATCH. The proposal calls for "season-ticket holders with reserved seats" for the '19 season to pay $702, an 8% increase over this year. Season-ticket prices for "box and club seats would be $851," also up 8%. The proposal would "bring prices back up again to close to the prices" in '17. Student ticket prices would "remain $34 per game or $238 for the season," and those prices would be "fixed though at least" the '20 season. OSU has "used a variable-pricing ticket system for its football games" since '13 (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 11/14). The proposal before trustees "also seeks to boost the cost" of OSU's golf club (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/13).
