Media Notes

In N.Y., Bob Raissman wrote it appears that Mike Francesa is "greasing the skids for another WFAN exit." Francesa is "not a happy man" and is having "serious problems monetizing his new app." Francesa also knows he will "not be able to squeeze any more dough" out of WFAN parent company Entercom. Sources said that Entercom is "not thrilled with Francesa telling the Free World he had not yet signed his contract." Francesa has said that he "might have to choose between totally focusing on his app, which he indicated has at least 800 subscribers, and his afternoon drive shift on WFAN" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 11/11).

NOTHING YET: In Indianapolis, Dana Hunsinger Benbow noted NBC has "not made a decision" on the fate of IndyCar analyst Paul Tracy, who allegedly made a "racist comment" on Facebook last week. Tracy said that he has "'not heard anything from NBC,'" and added that he "technically isn't a current NBC employee." Tracy said that his contract to cover IndyCar is "year-to-year and runs from the first race of the season to the last." Tracy's bio page remains "active on the NBC Sports Group website" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 11/10).

FAIR COMPARISON? In Boston, Dan Shaughnessy wrote MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred "should be panicked by the World Series TV ratings on Fox." Viewership for the five-game Red Sox-Dodgers set was down 25% from the seven-game Astros-Dodgers series in '17. Shaughnessy: "Baseball, you have a problem" (BOSTON GLOBE, 11/11).
