Sports Business Execs Share TCS N.Y. Marathon Experiences

Sports business execs are always well represented among the finishers of the TCS N.Y. Marathon, and this year was no exception. We would like to congratulate readers of THE DAILY who achieved this incredible feat. Below are some of their finish times, along with the personal experiences of those who participated:

Braves Senior VP/Corporate & Premium Partnerships JIM ALLEN (4:32:00) -- This was my third time and was my favorite one yet, as I got to run with my brother for his first marathon.

Braves Senior Dir of Partner & Premium Services BRAD JONES (4:11:00) -- The largest crowd of spectators and runners I have seen in my three finishes. The energy and excitement Sunday is addicting and it makes you want to come back again and again.

Braves Account Exec of Group Sales CELESTE MERCER (5:17:29) -- What's so great about the New York City marathon is that the whole city shuts down and throws a giant parade just for you, minus the ticker tape. They welcome you like you're an Olympian no matter if you're running it in two hours or five plus. This was my second time running the marathon and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Lagardѐre Sports Dir of U.S. Commercial Partnerships & Esports CHRIS BLIVIN (4:19:05) -- Amazing experience with an unbelievable atmosphere. Greatest marathon in the world in the greatest city in the world. Can’t thank all the people who came out and supported enough!

Professional Fighters League President CARLOS SILVA (4:17:00) -- Great front 13 miles, terrible back 13 miles, but always good to get it done.

Delta Airlines CEO ED BASTIAN (6:05:23) -- It was amazing to see so many members of our Delta family out running in the race and cheering on the sidelines. It was another great example of the Delta spirit and culture on display.

N.Y. Road Runners President & CEO MICHAEL CAPIRASO (3:48:56) -- It was an unforgettable day as I ran my 27th consecutive NYC marathon in honor of my late father-in-law, who would have had his 75th birthday on Sunday.
