Global esports organization Gen.G today announced the creation of an all-female Fortnite duos team. The team consists of professional gamers Tina Perez and Madison Mann, better known by their respective gamertags, “TINARAES” and “Maddiesuun.”
Perez and Mann’s first competition as members of Gen.G will be the Fortnite Fall Skirmish during TwitchCon in San Jose, Calif., on Oct. 26 and 27. Perez is 21 years old from Austin, TX while Mann, 19, from is Boston. The two are both active Fortnite streamers on Twitch.
“Our fans should be thrilled about our Fortnite team and what this development means for the future of esports,” said Arnold Hur, Chief Growth Officer of Gen.G esports, in a press release. “Maddie and Tina come in with a desire to be great. They’ll be taking advantage of all the Gen.G resources at their disposal to improve their craft. We believe that providing organizational support will allow Tina and Maddie to develop into amazing players.”
Gen.G’s announcement also included the addition of a new female employee, Kristen Valnicek, who will serve as Head of New Gaming Initiatives. Valnicek will work with Maddiesuun and TINARAES to help female gamers connect and learn from each other through the streaming network “Team Kitty,” which she founded, and will also use Gen.G’s platform to build a community of female gamers.
“I’m so excited to be teaming up with Maddie to represent Gen.G in Fortnite esports,” said Tina Perez in the press release. “I have been competing for over 10 years in multiple esports titles for the opportunity to be matched against the best players in the world. With this opportunity, we are going to train relentlessly to be the best players we can be.”

By joining Gen.G gaming, Perez and Mann will have access to former NBA All-Star Chris Bosh. Bosh recently joined the organization as a Player Management Advisor and will serve as a mentor to the two gamers as their careers takeoff, according to the press release. Gen.G was recently valued at $110 million, makingit the seventh most valuable esport company in the world, according to Forbes.
