Kentucky's John Calipari Planning To Livestream Annual Coaching Clinic

Univ. of Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari will hold his annual coaching clinic on Sunday, and he is "planning to livestream the entire event to anyone who wishes to watch, worldwide," becoming the first D-I coach to "attempt such a program," according to Mike DeCourcy of SPORTING NEWS. The clinic at UK's practice facility begins at 11:00am ET, and the "cost to watch the stream is $24.99." The livestream "will be available for 72 hours after the program is completed." Young people in grades 7-12, junior college or prep school are "not permitted to register to watch the stream because they are considered recruitable prospects." Calipari said that he "expects about 150 to attend the clinic in person" (SPORTINGNEWS.com, 10/16).
