Pro Football HOFer ROGER STAUBACH in July "quietly retired" as Exec Chair of the Chicago-based real estate company JLL Americas. Staubach said that he will "continue to do selected projects for JLL." He will be "traveling less and spending more time going to his grandkids' events and doing deals with" former teammate and Columbus Realty Partners Founder ROBERT SHAW. Staubach: "The timing is perfect. It's been 10 years with JLL. There's things that I'll still be able to do for JLL. But I won't be full time with the company, traveling and everything" (DALLASNEWS.com, 10/14).

AT THE PODIUM: Pacers G VICTOR OLADIPO endorsed U.S. Sen. JOE DONNELLY (D-Ind.) on Friday night at a "campaign rally" with former VP JOE BIDEN. Oladipo's brief speech was "focused on his love for Indiana, rather than politics." He will "likely appear at future campaign events on Donnelly's behalf" (INDYSTAR.com, 10/12).

NAMES: Five Suns' players on Friday helped Christian non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children "prepare thousands of meals for desperate children in Mexico." The event intersected with the Suns' last stretch of "'service week' inspiring several players from the team to take advantage of the opportunity before their season begins."
