Hrabosky reportedly will not return for a 35th season as the Cardinals analyst on FS Midwestgetty images

FS Midwest Senior VP & GM Jack Donovan said the RSN is "not expecting any big changes" in the booth for MLB Cardinals games next season. However, in St. Louis, Dan Caesar cites sources as saying that analyst Al Hrabosky "won't return in that position next year" after 34 years, but will continue as a studio commentator. Donovan said that "no decisions have been made." He added that FS Midwest and team officials "will meet in a few weeks" to "discuss personnel" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 10/5).

CHANGE OF SCENERY: In Philadelphia, Rob Tornoe noted Chris Therien, who announced last month that he "wouldn't be returning as the 'inside the glass' reporter" on NBC Sports Philadelphia's coverage of Flyers games, will take on a new role as "lead analyst" for the RSN's pregame and postgame show. He will be joined by Michael Barkann and Al Morganti. Therien will also "cohost a new weekly radio show" on Thursday nights alongside WPEN-FM's Jason Myrtetus called "Fanatic Flyers Weekly." The RSN has "yet to announce if it will fill Therien's previous role with another analyst." It would be "unusual to have an NHL broadcast without an inside-the-glass reporter" (PHILLY.com, 10/4).

BACK TO FOOTBALL: ESPN's Josina Anderson said she appreciates that network President Jimmy Pitaro is "invested in the relationship with the NFL." Anderson said she appreciates "that he sees the benefit of it" and "wants to continue it and has a long view on that as well" (SPORTINGNEWS.com, 10/3).
