Fox is promoting ERIC SHANKS to Fox Sports CEO after previously serving as President, COO & Exec Producer of the division. Fox Networks Distribution President MIKE BIARD is also "being promoted" to President of Operations & Distribution for Fox. PAUL CHEESBROUGH "will become" Fox Chief Technology Officer and Head of Direct to Consumer Platforms. All the newly promoted execs "will report" to LACHLAN MURDOCH, who will "serve as chairman and CEO of Fox once the Disney deal closes" in '19 (NYPOST.com, 10/2).

EMPIRE STATE OF MIND: Pegula Sports & Entertainment named Empire State Development Senior VP CHRISTOPHER SCHOEPFLIN VP/External Affairs & Strategic Development (PS&E). Schoepflin will oversee PS&E's "dealings with federal, state and local governments." The hiring comes at a time the PS&E-owned teams will be "seeking financial support to upgrade their facilities, including the possibility of the Bills building a new stadium." Schoepflin has "extensive connections at the state level by having spent the past eight years working in the administration of New York Gov. ANDREW CUOMO" (AP, 10/2).

EXECS: Endeavor VP/Global Partnerships & Naming Rights TODD PARKER has left the company to launch marketing consultancy OverTime Sports & Entertainment, where he will serve as Managing Partner (THE DAILY)....Double-A Southern League Rocket City Trash Pandas GM CHRIS MORGAN said he has resigned from his position to "pursue other opportunities." Morgan was named Southern League Exec of the Year in '18 and had been with the BayBears for the "last four seasons" (AL.com, 10.2)....The United Shore Professional Baseball League promoted Dir of Client Services JEREMIAH HERGOTT to VP/Client Services (USPBL)....James Madison named Red Bull Media House Managing Editor KHALIL GARRIOTT Dir of Branded Content and Exec Editor of Madison Magazine (THE DAILY).
