Overnight Ratings: Ohio State's Win Over Penn State Big For ABC

Ohio State’s win over Penn State on Saturday night drew a 6.1 overnight rating on ABC, leading all college football games in Week 5. ABC and ESPN have now aired four of the five highest-rated games so far during the ’18 season. OSU-PSU also will give ABC a primetime win. Meanwhile, ABC in the 12:00pm ET window drew a 3.3 for Clemson’s come-from-behind win over Syracuse, marking the best figure in that window since ’16.

FORGET PARIS: Team Europe closed out its dominant victory over the U.S. in the Ryder Cup yesterday, with NBC earning a 2.0 overnight for coverage from France. That figure is up from a 1.8 four years ago from Gleneagles in Scotland. Two years ago, when the event was at Hazeltine in Minnesota, NBC drew a 3.4 overnight for the blowout U.S. win.
