LAW & ORDER: California-based attorney RICHARD FOSTER, a former USA Water Polo president and USOC board member, is "facing disciplinary charges in State Bar Court for potential ethics violations stemming from his representation" of swimmer DAGNY KNUTSON. Foster is facing a total of "seven charges." Among them is that Foster "committed a breach of fiduciary duty and fraud by willful concealment while advising" Knutson (OCREGISTER.com, 9/26).

NAMES: Former Occidental College AD JAIME HOFFMAN, who is gay, is suing the L.A. school, "alleging she was fired this summer in retaliation for complaining to the school's president that she was the victim of gender and sexual orientation discrimination" (DAILYNEWS.com, 9/26)....SERENA WILLIAMS “added $857,500” to her net worth during online platform SurveyMonkey’s debut on the stock market, as the company’s stock “soared” 45% from its IPO price. She was charged with “whacking a California lawyer in the head with her glass clutch purse and spewing anti-Semitic bile at his family” (NYDAILYNEWS.com, 9/26)....Gold Medal-winning U.S. women's hockey player MEGHAN DUGGAN and former Canadian women’s hockey player GILLIAN APPS “married over the weekend" in Pownal, Me. (BOSTONGLOBE.com, 9/26)....Former NHL coach MIKE KEENAN “decided to go public” with a prostate cancer diagnosis he received in May in order to “help raise awareness” for the illness (TSN.ca, 9/25).
