Jon Podany Leaving LPGA To Oversee Arnold Palmer Enterprises

LPGA Chief Commercial Officer JON PODANY is leaving the tour to become CEO of Arnold Palmer Enterprises and President of Palmer’s charitable foundation, Arnie’s Army. Podany, who has been with the LPGA since '10, begins his new job on Oct. 15. The CEO is a new position for Arnold Palmer Enterprises. Podany will oversee the charitable foundation of ARNOLD and WINNIE PALMER and all business aspects of Arnold Palmer Enterprises, including the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, the Arnold Palmer Cup, and businesses including the Arnold Palmer Design Company and the two Arnold Palmer properties -- The Bay Hill Club & Lodge and the Latrobe Country Club. “I’ve had great admiration for Arnold Palmer my whole life and I’ve been in the golf industry for 23 years and I owe a big debt of gratitude for what he has done for the industry,” Podany said. “He is one of the great brands in sports." The LPGA has not yet named a replacement for Podany.
