Adidas Releasing New Signature Shoe For James Harden In October

Adidas went through four rounds of the Vol. 3 before Harden approved the final versionADIDAS

Rockets G James Harden is "getting a new signature shoe" from Adidas, with the Harden Vol. 3 set to release Oct. 12, according to Demetrio Teniente of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. Adidas Senior Dir of Basketball Footwear Rashad Williams said that the process of creating the shoe -- which will retail for $140 -- was the "longest and most challenging of any of the previous Harden shoes." Williams said, "We went through four rounds of the shoe where James was just, 'Nope, that's not it.' It needed to look like a shoe you could ball in and we went through about four rounds before he felt it was in a good zone for him." Williams added that fans of the shoes can "expect more colorways soon after the initial rollout," particularly in November, December and January (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 9/25).
