StubHub, Golden Knights End Resale Deal After Playoff Ticket Spat

Golden Knights execs did not disclose future resale plans, but will soon be in contact with ticket holders GETTY IMAGES

StubHub and the Golden Knights have formally ended their ticket resale partnership after just one year, an outgrowth of a dispute from the team’s playoff run in June when it sued the company for $1.5M in alleged unpaid playoff ticket sales profits. The two sides have reached an undisclosed settlement, have no other outstanding claims against each other and in a statement said they “part ways on good terms.” The team did not disclose its future plans regarding ticket resales, but said it will soon be in contact with its season-ticket holders regarding “updated secondary market resale opportunities.” StubHub, however, retains its separate partnership with T-Mobile Arena and AEG Global Partnerships (it is a founding partner of the Las Vegas arena). StubHub still has signage and marketing rights in the venue, and will be integrated into AXS ticket accounts for various non-Golden Knights events there. StubHub will also continue to list ticket inventory for Golden Knights games on its platforms, though now without any sort of direct tie to the team.
