Track President Dennis Bickmeier on Wednesday said that the project is "not just a new infield, and not just a new garage," but a "new attraction." Epps noted one of the project's "highlights is a viewing walkway that will allow fans a look into the garage as crews work on their cars" (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 9/20).

TABLED DISCUSSION: In Buffalo, Sandra Tan notes talk of potential sites for a new Buffalo Niagara Convention Center have led to "questions about whether it could be paired with a new football stadium downtown." Erie County (N.Y.) Exec Mark Poloncarz said that any prospect of a new downtown Bills stadium "had no bearing on a consultant's recommendations for the best two sites of a new convention center." Tan notes the prospect of a new stadium "wasn't even raised as something the county's consultant should consider" (BUFFALO NEWS, 9/21).
