Overnight Ratings: Ohio State-TCU Marks CFB Season's Best Figure

Ohio State’s come-from-behind win over TCU on Saturday led ABC to the best college football rating this season to date. The primetime game drew a 4.9 overnight rating, up 48% from a 3.3 for Clemson-Louisville in the Week 3 primetime game last year. Ohio State-TCU also is ABC’s best regular-season CFB overnight since Oklahoma-Ohio State in Week 2 last year. ESPN’s “College GameDay” was flat on Saturday morning (originated from OSU-TCU). Meanwhile, CBS drew a 3.7 overnight on Saturday afternoon for LSU’s late win over Auburn, up 19% from Tennessee-Florida last year in Week 3. Alabama-Ole Miss was ESPN’s top game on Saturday, drawing a 2.2 overnight in primetime. That figure was just below the 2.3 for USC-Texas on Fox. FS1’s top college game on Saturday was Kent State-Penn State at a 0.3 overnight.
