Prudential Center Adding Premium Seating Area, "The Lofts"

New renderings are out for upcoming premium spaces at Prudential Center, with construction to start next month and wrap up in December at the Newark venue. The new, 14,560-square-foot space, called "The Lofts," features 10 loge boxes that each seat eight people and 10 VIP tables that seat four apiece. The new space at the Devils' arena also will have 144 new club seats. The area, which was previously a premium bar, will include in-seat wait service, two VIP bars and inclusive food/non-alcoholic beverages. “It was a space we knew we could reinvent,” said Prudential Center and Devils VP/Premium Service Natasha Moody. Architecture firm Rossetti designed the new area. The costs of the renovations were not disclosed. The tables are priced at $78,000 per year, including taxes. Moody said the concept has been in place at the arena and is popular with premium fans, adding, “They are one of the hottest-selling hospitality assets." The eight-person loge boxes run $156,000 per year, including taxes. By comparison, the venue's larger traditional suites seating 16-24 fans cost $250,000-400,000. Club seats in the new loft area will be $23,100 per year. This latest project is part of a multiyear modernization of Prudential Center’s premium areas. There are future plans to upgrade the 54 stage-facing suites at the arena, which doubles as a major concert venue.
