Revolution Struggling To Entice Fans In Crowded NE Sports Market

The Revolution are struggling to capture fan attention in New England, and a significant amount of residents believe that is partly to do with the Robert Kraft-owned club's lack of a soccer-specific stadium, according to the seventh annual survey from Massachusetts-based Channel Media & Market Research. In a question regarding how often fans follow the Revolution, 30% of responders said "never," the most common response out of six options. In a separate question asking what the team could do to increase fan interest, a leading 35% cited moving to a "better" soccer-only stadium. The Revolution currently play at Gillette Stadium, also the home of Kraft's Patriots. Another question asked whether fans believed the team had changed for the better or worse in the past year, with 62% saying it has "pretty much stayed the same." Below are the three charts from the Channel Media survey in regards to the Revolution' standing across the New England region.
