IN MEMORY: Longtime sportscaster MIKE HOGEWOOD passed away yesterday at age 63. Hogewood worked on “many ACC sports broadcasts primarily with Raycom Sports.” He also did play-by-play for FS South and “various other networks” (GREENSBORO.com, 9/5). Raycom Sports COO JIMMY RAYBURN in a statement said, "The ACC lost a legend last night. ... Mike was one of the most versatile announcers in the business, performing play-by-play, sideline and host duties for football, men’s & women's basketball, and Olympic sports telecasts.
