The PGA of America has hired SETH WAUGH as CEO, replacing PETE BEVACQUA, who left the organization this month to become NBC Sports Group President. Waugh, a Managing Dir of investment firm Silver Lake and former Deutsche Bank Americas CEO, begins his new job on Sept. 24. He will continue to be a senior advisor to Silver Lake. Golf website MorningRead.com late last week first reported Waugh was being linked to the PGA. Waugh was instrumental in creating the PGA Tour’s former Deutsche Bank Championship. RSR Partners conducted the search for the PGA of America. SBJ in '14 profiled Waugh and examined his ties to golf (John Lombardo, Staff Writer).

EXECS: Lions VP/Corporate Partnerships BILL HAWKER will retire after a nearly 20 year NFL career. Hawker worked for the Bears and Packers before joining the Lions in March '16. His last day will be Sept. 11 (THE DAILY)....Green Sports Alliance Exec Dir JUSTIN ZEULNER is leaving his role to pursue other opportunities. Zeulner helped co-found the GSA in '14. The GSA will launch a search for a new Exec Dir in the coming weeks (GSA)....NBA G League Delaware Blue Coats GM ELTON BRAND will add the title of 76ers VP/Basketball Operations. The 76ers also promoted the following: VP/Basketball Operations & Chief of Staff NED COHEN to Assistant GM; VP/Player Personnel MARC EVERSLEY to Senior VP/Player Personnel; and VP/Analytics & Strategy ALEX RUCKER to Senior VP/Analytics & Strategy (76ers)....Ad agency Team One named KRISTIN WILSON Account Exec and GRIFFIN SCHLAIKJER Account Coordinator (THE DAILY)....Tech services provider ANC named VICTOR IKEDA-WOOD Head of Service Platforms, TERRELL DAIS Account Exec and STACEY TALVE HR Manager (ANC).
