Warriors' Season-Ticket Renewal Rate At 80% For Chase Center

The Warriors plan to withhold about 5,000 seats per game for the public in the 18,000-seat arena CHASE CENTER

Warriors President & COO Rick Welts said 80% of the team's current season-ticket holders have "committed to come over" with with the team when it moves to the Chase Center in '19, according to a front-page piece by Ann Killion of the S.F. CHRONICLE. The Warriors for over a year have been "bringing their current season-ticket holders over to the Chase Center Experience" to make their sales pitch, "starting with the longest tenured ticket holders." The team was "originally hoping" for a 65% renewal rate, but with about half of the season-ticket-holder base already pitched, four out of five have "chosen to purchase tickets" for the venue. The Warriors "plan to withhold about 5,000 seats for each game to be made available to the public" in the 18,000-seat arena. At the rates sales are currently going, the team may "never open up season-ticket sales to the general public." In addition to their "healthy season ticket sales for the new building," the Warriors' suites are also "almost all sold out." These include a "ring of traditional suites above the lower bowl as well as courtside suites that are behind the stands and include the best seats in the house" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 8/27).
