Executive Transactions

FIFA has "parted ways" with Deputy Secretary General/Administration MARCO VILLIGER, the "last senior official remaining" from former President SEPP BLATTER's tenure. Sources said that the move comes as FIFA President GIANNI INFANTINO is "mulling major changes in the upper ranks of his administration." Villiger "oversaw some of FIFA's most important agreements with broadcasters and sponsors." Within three months of his election in '16, Infantino "elevated Villiger" to his position which "ranks just below that" of Secretary General, which is the body's top administrative role (N.Y. TIMES, 8/21).

EXECS: Louisiana-Monroe AD NICK FLOYD will step down effective Sept. 4, in order to "focus on managing a physical health issue." Floyd will be "assigned a position within the university administration through Dec. 31." ULM CEO SCOTT MCDONALD will have "day-to-day oversight" of the department (THEADVOCATE.com, 8/20)....The Univ. of Maine named Colorado College AD KEN RALPH to the same position. Colorado College Senior Associate AD & Dir of Compliance GREG CAPELL will serve as interim AD, and a nationwide search to "replace Ralph will begin soon" (GAZETTE.com, 8/20)....The Grizzlies hired McMaster Univ. AD GLEN GRUNWALD as a consultant. Grunwald previously served as Raptors GM (THESTAR.com, 8/20)....The NHL Kings named MCKENNA LEDESMA and JESSE ESTRADA Group Sales Reps (THE DAILY).
