Buyers & Sellers: Jay Cutler Buys Nashville Area Home For $5.4M

Former NFLer JAY CUTLER purchased a home and surrounding land in Franklin, Tenn., about 30 miles southwest of downtown Nashville, for approximately $5.4M. The home itself and the 10 acres it sits on were bought for $4.23M, but Cutler also purchased "approximately 35 additional acres of mostly wooded surrounding property" for around $1.2M. The 10,307-square-foot "family-friendly farmhouse-style mansion" has eight bedrooms, eight full and two half bathrooms. The home features a "deep, wrap around porch" while the front door "opens to an interconnected series of open-plan living spaces." There is also a music room, a "dining porch with built-in grill and a finished lower level contains a recreation room with a wet bar as well as an en suite bedroom suitable for overnight guests or live-in domestic help" (VARIETY.com, 8/1).

BUYERS & SELLERS: BARRY BONDS sold his Hillsborough, Calif., home for $6M. Built in '07, the Mediterranean-style house has about 5,200 square feet of living space including "five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 8/6)....Canadiens LW MAX PACIORETTY has listed his home in Boca Raton, Fla., for $3.45M. The 5,800-square-foot home has five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and "features a basketball court, an outdoor summer kitchen and a saltwater pool with a quartz deck" (MONTREALGAZETTE.com8/8)....Sabres C JACK EICHEL purchased the Buffalo waterfront townhouse owned by former Bills GM DOUG WHALEY for $985,000. Built in '16, the "three-story townhouse has four bedrooms and four bathrooms" and is 3,451 square feet (BUFFALONEWS.com, 8/6)....NFL Cardinals coach STEVE WILKS purchased a home in the Island at Fulton Ranch neighborhood of Chandler, Ariz., for $2.4M (AZCENTRAL.com, 8/6).
