Who Is Next? Kings Announcer Seen As Possible "Jeopardy" Successor

Faust (r) took over as the NHL Kings play-by-play voice last seasonALEX FAUST

ALEX TREBEK can see NHL Kings TV announcer ALEX FAUST as his eventual potential replacement on the long-running syndicated game show "JEOPARDY." During a recent appearance on Fox News, Trebek noted his current contract expires in ’20 and said of his successor, “I mentioned to our producer not so long ago that the fellow who does play-by-play for the Los Angeles Kings, they should consider him. He’s young, he’s attractive. His first name is Alex.” Trebek will be 80 when his current deal runs out in '20 (“OBJECTified,” Fox News, 7/29). Faust responded to the suggestion yesterday on Twitter, writing, "I guess there are worse ways to randomly see your name show up on TMZ! I'm flattered by Mr. Trebek's kind words, and delighted to hear he's a big @LAKings fan!" (TWITTER.com, 7/30).
