Overwatch League had its first finals over the weekend, and overnight ratings were not incredibly high, as has been the norm for esports properties on linear TV. ESPN on Friday night drew a 0.2 overnight from 7:00-9:15pm ET for Day 1 of the finals. On Saturday afternoon from 4:00-6:00pm, Disney XD averaged a 0.1 for Day 2 of the finals. ESPN2 then did a re-air of the finals on Saturday night at 9:00pm, drawing a 0.1 overnight. ABC yesterday also did a Finals recap show, drawing a 0.3 overnight from 3:00-5:00pm. Streaming data for the Finals was unavailable at presstime.
NOTES: UFC on Fox 30 drew a 1.2 overnight on Saturday night, likely marking Fox’ lowest-rated broadcast TV card since it acquired rights in late ’11….ABC drew a 0.6 overnight for the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday afternoon. The ASG drew a 0.5 in the same window last year. Saturday’s game peaked at a 0.9 from 5:45-6:00pm.
