Sources: FS1 Developing Sports Gambling-Driven TV Show

Fox Sports is "developing a sports gambling-driven show" starring Charissa Thompson, Brent Musburger, Todd Fuhrman and Clay Travis, according to sources cited by Michael McCarthy of SPORTING NEWS. The weekday show is "expected to premiere this fall" on FS1 in the 5:00-6:00pm ET hour after Jason Whitlock's expanded "Speak for Yourself" moves to an earlier time slot, 3:00-5:00pm. A source said that Thompson is expected to host a "free-wheeling discussion" that can be described as an "Around the Horn for sports betting." It will be one of the "first major sports betting shows to air on pay cable TV." Most gambling shows are "offered via over-the-top streaming options." FS1's show will also "highlight the unlikely second career" of Musburger, who reportedly just "landed a separate gig calling Raiders NFL games on radio." It will also "mark the closest collaboration yet between Travis and Fox Sports" (SPORTINGNEWS.com, 7/18).
