NHL MVP Hopes Players Show More Personality On Social Media

Devils LW and NHL MVP Taylor Hall believes it would be good for the sport if players "put themselves out there ... a bit more" on social media like players in the NFL and NBA. Hall said, "It would help grow the game, and hopefully we can get some more personalities ... in hockey." He noted that effort "starts with the stars." Hall pointed out that Oilers C Connor McDavid is "probably the first hockey player to grow up in this social media era." Hall, who has more than 516,000 Twitter followers, added, "As you see kids come into the league that have grown up with it, they're more comfortable with it, and they're going to be the ones that carry that among themselves" (USATODAY.com, 7/2).
