Large Majority Of NFL Agents Pass Mandatory Certification Test

Many NFL agents received notification from the NFLPA on Thursday that they had passed a mandatory test to maintain their certification. Agents said they received an email stating that they had passed. Additionally, the NFLPA sent an email to agents stating that 651 agents took the exam, and of those, 95% received a passing grade. It was not clear if there were agents who did not take the test who were required to do so or the identities of the 5% of agents who failed the exam. The NFLPA did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Agents had from June 1-12 to take the multiple question test. The union has previously told agents that those who failed would sit for a longer test with all the aspiring, prospective agents in July in DC. If the previously-certified agents failed that test, they could be suspended from representing NFL players in contract talks with clubs for a year.
