While there are "no guarantees Central Texas will support" an MLS team, it is "worth a try to see, especially on an under-utilized, ignored toxic dump site that no one wanted to develop" in the McKalla Place site. This "could be Austin’s only chance" for a pro team, as the city "ain’t ever landing an NFL or NBA team and probably not" an MLB franchise (AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN, 6/28).

It shows that hockey players "simply don’t get into trouble as often as their contemporaries in other sports."
