In N.Y., Mara Siegler notes figure skater Adam Rippon told advertising execs at the Cannes Lions festival that his brand is 'the new boy next door.'" The openly gay Olympic medalist is not "toning things down for fear brands won't want to work with him." Rippon: "It's a perfect way to weed out people that wouldn't be a good fit for you anyway. ... If it's something that they're afraid would take people away from their brand, then they don't want to be working with me anyway" (N.Y. POST, 6/21).

WILSON ON DECK: BASEBALL AMERICA's Tim Newcomb noted Wilson, which in recent years has not "had a presence in Omaha" during the College World Series, this year is attempting to "make a splash with its return to the event." Wilson is "converting The Bullpen, a building part of the Omaha Baseball Village across from TD Ameritrade Park." Wilson has taken one of the only buildings and "filled it with the latest in gear." Along with "painting a mural on the side of the brick building, Wilson will fill the space with gear specific to Omaha and offer a first look" at its '19 lines of bats and gloves (BASEBALLAMERICA.com, 6/20).

SPONSORSHIP SERVICE: The Mountain West Conference announced the Air Force Reserve will "serve as the title sponsor" of the '19 Air Force Reserve MWC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships and "presenting sponsor for all 10 MWC Olympic Sport Championships" for '18-19. Air Force Reserve will also "have a presence at the MWC Football Championship Game and provide marketing support for the event (MWC).
