16W co-Founder and Partner STEVE ROSNER started his firm nearly 18 years ago and now represents some of the more prominent broadcasters in sports, with clients including CRIS COLLINSWORTH, THOM BRENNAMAN and BOOMER ESIASON. This Father's Day weekend brings a mix of emotions for Rosner, who lost his father three years ago but will be able to spend some quality time with his wife and two daughters. Rosner caught up with THE DAILY to discuss his love for the Yankees and which famous musician he could be rubbing elbows with Sunday night.

KICKING BACK: On Friday I have a business commitment in South Jersey during the day and I’m going to try and make it out to Boomer Esiason's high school football showcase game. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll just make it back home for a casual dinner with my wife STEFANIE. On Saturday, my youngest daughter AMY, who just completed her freshman year at Michigan, has wanted to take me for a Father’s Day brunch in the city to a place called Sadelle’s. I’m looking forward to it, and then later that afternoon I’ll try to get out on the tennis court. I’ll probably play some singles on Saturday afternoon.
KEEPING IT LOW KEY: I’m kind of a lowkey guy on the weekend, so I like to get out and do something active, like tennis or pickleball or golf occasionally. This is also our first year of being empty nesters, so one thing I do miss when my two daughters were at home was we had a tradition of having Shahbaz dinner, which was a tradition in my family. I try to do it now not because we’re overly religious but to remember that we are Jewish and with the schedules that we have these days, everyone is able to sit down at the same time. My wife and I will also take Sunday nights and take some time to catch up on our shows that we like to watch. I’m a big “BLUE BLOODS” fan and we’ve been watching some Netflix stuff.
BITTERSWEET FATHER'S DAY: Recently, Father's Day has been a bit of a bittersweet day, as I lost my dad about three years ago. It was always a great day to be together with him. I’ll make a trip out to the cemetery to visit him in the morning and I’ll spend the afternoon with my family. Sunday night, depending on timing, my good buddy BRUCE HORNSBY is performing here Monday night, so he and I talked about getting together and catching up Sunday night. I’m a rock ‘n’ roll fan -- a Jersey guy has to like BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN -- so I’ve seen him 70 or so times.
MASTER CHEF: I’m the griller of the family and my wife is the preparer. I love to go out on the deck. I’d say skirt steak is my favorite as far as cooking goes, as well as chicken and salmon. We’re a pretty healthy family when we eat at home, but the challenge is when you go out to restaurants. There will always be some grilled vegetables and a salad to be had.
EYE ON SHINNECOCK: I’m a sports fan, so this weekend I’ll definitely be checking in on the U.S. Open. Hopefully come Sunday, there’s a back 9 scenario where there are two or three guys who are in the mix. My love for the Yankees is pretty strong, and especially strong this year, so I’ll be checking in and watch some innings. I’ve attended 44 consecutive Yankee home openers. I have flown in from various places like Europe, back and forth from Final Fours to attend the openers. People have asked why I do that, and I tell them that you’ve got to have passion. Growing up, my passion was the New York Yankees.
