NFL Agents Have Nearly Two Weeks To Take Certification Test

NFL agents will have 12 days in June to take a test to keep their NFLPA certification, according to a memo the union sent to agents Friday. Agents were provided with source materials for the test, which will be administered June 1-12. Agents will be able to answer the questions and submit the test at any time during the 12-day period. "Importantly, you will not be required to fully complete the exam once you begin to take it; instead, you may complete the exam over multiple periods during this 12-day period," the email read. Some agents expressed concerns privately, and during a contentious meeting at the NFL combine with the union, about a timed test. It is not clear if the email will assuage the concerns of agents, who have asked the union for the test not to be punitive. The email obtained by THE DAILY did not state what would happen to agents who failed the test or what the fail rate would be. Agents previously were told that if they fail the test they would have to sit for the exam with the incoming group of new agent hopefuls in July. If they failed that, agents would have their certification suspended for a year.
