The Marlins have hired three new execs as President of Business Operations CHIP BOWERS builds out his leadership team. Former Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment CMO ELISA PADILLA has been named Senior VP/Marketing. She most recently worked for Howard Hughes Corp. TRAVIS APPLE, formerly a NBA Team Marketing & Business Operations Senior Dir, has been named VP/Ticket Sales & Service. Additionally, former Amazon Tickets Principal of Business Development for Sports MICHAEL SHAW has been hired as VP & Head of Customer Experience. The trio represents the first hires for Bowers since his arrival to the Marlins in February, and each of the three will report to him (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer).

EXECS: MLB named CHRIS YOUNG VP/On-Field Operations, Initiatives & Strategy. The former MLBer will begin in his new role Monday and will work under Chief Baseball Officer JOE TORRE and report to Senior VP/Baseball Operations PETER WOODFORK (MLB)....Gametime CRO COLIN EVANS has left his day-to-day role with the ticketing company after nearly four years to take a role in startup business development for Amazon Web Services. Evans remains a Gametime board member (Fisher)....The Chiefs named Eagles Assistant Dir of Personnel MIKE BRADWAY to the same role. Bradway had "spent the previous 10 seasons in several front-office roles" with the Eagles (KANSASCITY.com, 5/9)....The Texans named Saints Combine Scout C.J. LEAK Assistant Dir of Pro Scouting (HOUSTONCHRONICLE.com, 5/9)....Callaway Golf named investment firm Battery Ventures General Partner RUSSELL FLEISCHER to its BOD, increasing the size from eight to nine members (Callaway).
