MGM Resorts Int'l has put in 12 premium courtside floor tables and a full-sized stage as part of $8M in improvements at Mandalay Bay Events Center ahead of the WNBA Las Vegas Aces' first season there after relocating from San Antonio. MGM Resorts Corporate VP/Marketing, Entertainment & Sports Lance Evans, who serves as Aces COO, said, “It’s Vegas so we have to have a table product. So we have floor tables.” The VIP tables seat four to six people, and Evans said they offer a different kind of premium fan experiences to Aces games. That includes table service, access to a premium lounge and a premium food menus. A bento box of food is included with each table ticket. The price per seat at a table is $245 per game or $4,250 for the full season. Buyers must have parties of four to six people per table. The area renovations also include new digital and scoreboards from Daktronics, as well as installation of a full-size stage behind one of the baskets. That is similar to the stage set up at the NBA All-Star Game and will host musical acts as well as games and events for fans. The Aces' home opener is May 27 against the Seattle Storm.
