Univ. Of Illinois Picks Spectra For Concessions At All School Venues

The Univ. of Illinois has picked Spectra as the food and hospitality vendor for its premium seating areas and concessions at all of the school’s athletic venues, including Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center. This marks Spectra’s first Big Ten customer, said company President John Wentzell. Illinois AD Josh Whitman said the school picked Spectra after an extensive interview process with prospective food and beverage vendors. Illinois is the 13th big college sports client for the Philadelphia-based company. It already works with Texas Tech, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, UCF and Colorado State, among others. Spectra succeeds Sodexo with the Illinois account.
