Media Notes

In Orlando, Marco Santana notes Orlando City has "entered into an exclusive agreement with YouTube TV for live streams of its matches." The deal "includes a newly created channel dedicated to Orlando City, which will broadcast 18 matches." The first live stream "will be of the May 6 match against Real Salt Lake at home." The MLS club's matches "will continue to be aired locally" on WRDQ-ABC. RSL, the Sounders and LAFC are "already streaming on YouTube TV" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 5/4).

UP IN THE AIR: In DC, Matt Bonesteel writes lost in all the ratings talk for ESPN's new "Get Up!" is "whether the show is actually any good." Based on 45 minutes of viewing Thursday's show, it seems to be "remarkably static, with the three hosts sitting around a big table and talking, sometimes to one another, sometimes over highlights." But that is a "whole lot of what the show seems to be: sitting and talking, for three hours." One episode is "hardly indicative of the show as a whole, kind of like how 30 days worth of bad ratings won't doom 'Get Up'" But as it stands now, the narrative is "not whether 'Get Up' is actually worth watching but rather that few people actually are watching" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 5/3).

ELLE TRAIN: In N.Y., Hannah Withiam writes for ESPN's Elle Duncan, her two years with the net have been "slightly surreal." Duncan said that she was "honored to receive a spot in the current rotation of talent covering" the 6:00pm ET "SportsCenter" after Jemele Hill and Michael Smith left "SC6." It is a "welcome respite from her hectic morning 'SportsCenter' routine," which begins at 3:00am when her alarm goes off and merges into a 4:00am prep meeting. Duncan will "continue her heavy workload of multiple 'SportsCenter' shows and 'SportsCenter' on Snapchat two days a week until she goes on maternity leave this summer" (NYPOST.com, 5/2).
