Weekend Plans With Dodgers Senior VP Erik Braverman

Braverman after last year's Astros-Dodgers World Series made a trip down to Sydney, Australia ERIK BRAVERMAN

Dodgers Senior VP/Marketing, Communications & Broadcasting ERIK BRAVERMAN is in his 10th season with the club, and this weekend he will hang back in L.A. while wishing the team well on their three-game series with the Giants in S.F. Braverman, who has lived in L.A. for 29 years, took THE DAILY through a typical office day when the team is on the road, how he kicks back after a long work week and his favorite aspects of living in West Hollywood. Braverman: "This probably dates back to my days of playing ball in high school and college, but in all my time with the Dodgers I have never once sat and watched an entire game. I’m a pacer. I carry a baseball that I just spin in my hand as I walk around the ballpark."

REPPING DODGER BLUE: With the job description that I have, a great passion of mine is watching other broadcasts from across the league when the club is on the road. See what other teams are doing, if there’s any learnings that I can take away from what my counterparts across the league are doing. Even before I had this job that was something I enjoyed. Friday is obviously a work day for us, and when the team's on the road, those are some of the busiest office days because you’re preparing for the rest of the year. I’m not on the regular traveling team, though I will be meeting the club at the conclusion of this current 10-game road trip. We’re meeting the Padres in Monterrey for a three-game series May 4-6. So I’ll meet them in Arizona next Thursday and fly to Mexico with them then. As for this weekend, I’m a huge basketball fan so I’ll be watching a bunch of NBA Playoff games once work is taken care of. Other than that it's relaxing and hitting the gym. I also play in an adult softball league here in the city and we're playing three games this weekend, so Monday I will probably be extremely sore. I guess sports just dominate my life whether I’m working or not!

CLICK ON THE TUBE: I am an admitted "LAW AND ORDER" junkie, which I got from my mother. Really anything DICK WOLF produced. Even though I don’t have a law degree in any way, I’m pretty sure I could solve the perfect crime. I also really enjoy “SCHITT’S CREEK." I’m a fan of dry comedy and crime shows. Those are my genres. Never really been a big fan of the half-hour sitcom. Though I will say, as I get older and have less of a nightlife, I find that I’m adopting a taste for a lot of different shows.

L.A. STORY: As a single guy living in L.A., I pretty much try every restaurant out. I am a big Italian food guy. I live in West Hollywood, right in the heart of nightlife. I love to get out and try new places. The beauty of living out here is there are always new spots opening up. We have The Soho House, a very trendy spot that I make my way to a couple times a month. I have a good intersection of friends -- one is an executive with a women’s clothing brand and another is with Netflix. We all have very different professional careers, but we come together for our restaurant/bar activities over the weekends. And we all love sports, but of course have different teams.
