Former Louisville Associate AD Starts Sports Marketing, Data Firm

Former Louisville Senior Associate AD/Development MARK JURICH and his wife, LAINEY, recently started The Jurich Group, a "sports marketing and data analysis firm that will look to leverage digital advertising technology," according to Marty Finley of the LOUISVILLE BUSINESS FIRST. Jurich is the son of former UL AD TOM JURICH, and the company will work with things such as "IP targeting and geoframing, to help clients address declining game attendance, identify and nurture at-risk season ticket holder accounts and even identify potential donors." Jurich said that the company's "desired clientele will be athletics departments and sports organizations." However, he "doesn't see the company's reach being confined to college athletics." Jurich said that the company has been "operating discreetly, rolling out its website a few weeks ago." Former Louisville Associate AD/Marketing JULIANNE WALDRON has "joined Jurich at The Jurich Group, which has a team of six." Meanwhile, Jurich had an "established relationship with Louisville digital marketing agency El Toro" while at the university. The Jurich Group has "contracted with El Toro to leverage its business intelligence and patented technologies to help create its own data solutions." El Toro also will work with The Jurich Group to "identify potential donors for athletics departments based in part on their consumer spending habits and income levels" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/24). Jurich "declined to specify when the idea for the Jurich Group was first formed and would not estimate when the company will be ready to take on potential clients" (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 4/25).
