Fox Could Move "TNF" Game To FS1 If World Series Is Rained Out

Fox may be forced to bump its Week 9 "TNF" game to FS1 if a rainout occurs during the World Series. Should the Fall Classic go seven games -- as it has in three of the past four years -- Game 7 is scheduled to be played on Oct. 31, a Wednesday night. A rainout during the series would extend the series another night, putting Game 7 head-to-head with the scheduled Raiders-49ers "TNF" contest. Should that scenario play out, Fox would move “TNF” to its cable channel, where it will be simulcast with NFL Network. The broadcast channel will stay with the World Series. The same contingency plan would be in effect on Oct. 25, when Fox is slated to carry the Dolphins-Texans Week 8 “TNF” game. The World Series is scheduled to start on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
