Wieber in the lawsuit accused USA Gymnastics of destroying her medical recordsGetty Images

Gold Medal-winning U.S. gymnast JORDYN WIEBER sued USA Gymnastics, the USOC and Michigan State, "alleging the organizations share blame for sexual abuse she claims she suffered" at the hands of former team doctor LARRY NASSAR. Wieber in the lawsuit "accused USA Gymnastics of destroying her medical records, asserting the organization provided her with only 20 pages of seemingly unrelated records when she requested all documents associated with the dozens of treatments Nassar provided over the years" (WASHINGTON POST, 4/18). Meanwhile, fellow Gold Medal-winning gymnast MCKAYLA MARONEY yesterday "spoke publicly for the first time" about the scandal, "taking to task" USAG, the USOC and MSU. Maroney "praised overhaul efforts at USAG that have seen its leadership overturned" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 4/17).

DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER: An Under Armour investor sued company Founder, Chair & CEO KEVIN PLANK in federal court, "accusing him of breaching his fiduciary duty to the company and shareholders and unjustly enriching himself through his Port Covington development" in Baltimore. PATRICIA MIODUSZEWSKI also named "two board members and Under Armour as defendants" in the suit. She "alleges that Plank profited from the sale of land to Under Armour and that millions of dollars in tax incentives and public financing that will go to Plank's development firm belonged to Under Armour" (BALTIMORE SUN, 4/18).

NAMES: Browns co-Owner DEE HASLAM is "stepping down" as RIVR Media CEO. She is doing so to "devote more of her time to the Browns and the Cleveland community" (CLEVELAND.com, 4/17)....Saints RB MARK INGRAM signed Detroit-based VIP Sports Management’s PAUL BOBBITT and DAVID JONES to represent him. Ingram was previously represented by JOEL SEGAL of Lagardere Sports & Entertainment (NOLA.com, 4/17)....AARON RODGERS and DANICA PATRICK helped “fit children and adults with hearing aids” in Lusaka, Zambia, during a mission trip last weekend (USATODAY.com, 4/17)....Roush Fenway Racing President STEVE NEWMARK, who is profiled in THE DAILY today, received the Star Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Field of Motorsports Law” at The Racing Attorney Conference last week (THE DAILY)....Connecticut high school football player DREW PYNE, son of Bruin Sports Capital CEO GEORGE PYNE, on Monday "announced his verbal commitment to play at Notre Dame" (STAMFORDADVOCATE.com, 4/17).
