Business Leaders Form Group Looking To Move Rays To Tampa

The nonprofit group looking to move the Rays to Ybor City unveiled the Rays 100, a "group of executives and civic leaders willing to serve as ambassadors for the effort," according to Richard Danielson of the TAMPA BAY TIMES. Tampa attorney Ron Christaldi, a co-Founder of the nonprofit Tampa Bay Rays 2020, said members of Rays 100 will work to "actively secure financial support for the Tampa Bay Rays in coordination with the Rays 2020 effort through significant pledges of sponsorships and ticket sales." More than half a dozen members yesterday said that it was "too soon to predict how much they or their companies would commit to season tickets or sponsorships" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 4/5).
