Country music duo Florida Georgia Line's name "will be part of" the NASCAR race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the "next three years," according to a front-page piece by David Lindquist of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR. The official title of the Sept. 9 race is the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard Powered by Florida Georgia Line. The name "reflects the involvement of Nashville music company Big Machine Label Group." Florida Georgia Line is "signed to Big Machine Records," and Big Machine Vodka is a "side business of the record company." Country singer Brantley Gilbert -- who also is on Big Machine -- was part of the "official title of last year's NASCAR race: the 'Brantley Gilbert Big Machine Brickyard 400.'" Meanwhile, Florida Georgia Line plans to "headline concerts" at IMS for the next three years as part of the track's new "FGL Fest." Big Machine CEO Scott Borchetta said, "If it goes as planned, this could turn into a 10-year relationship with the Speedway. We felt three years was the proper time to give it to see if we could really build something special at Indianapolis" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 3/23).
