Predators Sell Out Full Inventory Of '18-19 Season Tickets

Existing season-ticket holders' 98% renewal rate helped take all 14,000 available off the marketGETTY IMAGES

The Predators have "sold out" their full inventory of '18-19 season tickets, a "historic achievement for a once-struggling franchise," according to Eleanor Kennedy of the NASHVILLE BUSINESS JOURNAL. Predators Senior VP/Sales & Youth Hockey Nat Harden said that the sellout is buoyed by a 98% "renewal rate among existing season-ticket holders -- the highest ever." All 14,000 season tickets the Predators had to offer are "off the market." Harden said that the organization "plans to sell about 500 mini-plans for the upcoming season, leaving about 2,500 tickets for single-game sales and related deals." Fans who "haven't purchased season tickets will be able to pay a $50 annual fee to join Smashville Select, a combination waiting list/fan club the team is launching." Fans who join the club will "not only have first dibs when season tickets come available for future seasons, but they'll also get access to presales for game tickets and other Bridgestone Arena events, along with merchandise and other similar benefits." Harden said landmarks like the season-ticket sellout are "thrilling for everyone in the organization," particularly those who can remember when the team was only "selling out five, six games in a season 10 years ago" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/22).
