Abrams Artists Agency signed Gold Medal-winning U.S. curler MATT HAMILTON to a deal that "covers all areas: branding, personal appearances and endorsements, and securing guest spots on scripted and unscripted shows as well as movies" (DEADLINE.com, 3/21).

GOING THE DISTANCE: Ironman will expand its Tampa HQ and "add 70 new jobs, thanks to $350,000 in economic development incentives" from the state of Florida, Hillsborough County and Tampa. The company "already has more than 160 people" in Tampa. The new jobs "will be in sales, marketing, human resources, operations, fiance and information technology." They are "projected to pay an average of at least $57,163 a year" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 3/22).

NAMES: The Baseball HOF said that the Chief Wahoo logo will "still appear" in the museum. Visitors "won't get a white-washed version" of baseball history. Cooperstown has "created an impossible tightrope to walk: acknowledging baseball's evolving definition of racism on one hand, while trying to cover up the sport's evolving attitude toward performance-enhancing drug use on the other hand" (DAILYNEWS.com, 3/21)....Former members of the ABA will gather April 7 in Indianapolis for a 50th reunion. Among those in attendance will include Basketball HOFers and former ABAers JULIUS ERVINGRICK BARRYGEORGE GERVIN and DAN ISSELBOB COSTAS, who called radio play-by-play for the ABA Spirits of St. Louis, "will emcee the event at Bankers Life Fieldhosue" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 3/22)....The NHL Panthers partnered with Swift Air to send the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School hockey team to the national tournament in Minnesota “in style” on a charter flight. Panthers VP/Business Operations SHAWN THORNTON said that a “full menu” of food was available on the flight (PALM BEACH POST, 3/22)....Brewers radio announcer BOB UECKER in October was bitten by a brown recluse spider, and he and broadcast partner JEFF LEVERING have “joked about the incident on the air” during Brewers Spring Training games (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 3/20)....Fisher Island Club in Miami has named one of its tennis courts after CAROLINE WOZNIACKI, who has owned a penthouse there since ’14 (NYPOST.com, 3/21)....GISELE BÜNDCHEN in October will release her new book, “LESSONS: MY PATH TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE,” which will touch on her 9-year marriage to TOM BRADY (NYPOST.com, 3/21).
